How To Get Hitched
Congratulations! You're getting set to say I do!
Here is what you need to know about getting legally married in Australia, and how to make it legal.
Contact me to set up an obligation free meeting to get to know each other, answer questions and for you to see if I'm the right celebrant for you. If it's a yes, and I am available for your date, we will lock it in and rock and roll! I will send you an invoice for deposit, contract and we'll schedule our next meeting!
Once you've paid the non-refundable deposit we'll meet (or jump on Skype) to discuss your ceremony. Time to put our planning caps on and give me all the feel-good deets of your love story! Here, we will also complete necessary legal paperwork, (Notice of Intended Marriage) which must occur at least 31 days prior to your ceremony.
Next you will receive your welcome kit detailing our time-line, the legal process, what you can expect and examples of vows to get you started. I will also send you a questionnaire where you can share with me what you love about your fiance, and some quirky (yet loveable) habits that you adore about one another - I will keep these a surprise for the ceremony!
Based on the wonderful chat's we've had about your love story, how you met, first smooch and engagement story etc I will put together a draft of your ceremony. This is your opportunity to make any amendments and suggestions to ensure we have crafted a custom ceremony that perfectly reflects you as a couple.
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
A minimum of two weeks prior to the wedding we'll check in to confirm rehearsal if needed, music, your vows and the magic masterpiece that will be your beautiful ceremony. We'll also kick any jitters to the curb and get pumped for the big day. Consider me your unofficial hype girl.
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!
I will arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony and ensure everything is ready to rumble and spread good vibes for your special day.
Then, you will get married! You'll receive your commemorative certificate and I'll depart the party. I will send all official documentation to Births, Deaths and Marriages in the State in which the ceremony was conducted.
